Telegram channel
The Telegram channel lets you chat with Cloa from inside Telegram, through the official bot @CloaBot. Once you link your account, it's the same Cloa with the same memory as the mobile app, just reached from a different surface.

What this is NOT
Three things in Cloa use the word "Telegram." They are easy to confuse, so here is the boundary:
- The Telegram channel (this page). You message Cloa from Telegram. Cloa receives your messages through @CloaBot and replies in the same chat.
- The Telegram Personal integration. A separate feature that gives Cloa access to your own Telegram account so it can read and act on your conversations on your behalf. See Telegram Personal.
- Companions on Telegram. Distinct AI characters that also live inside Telegram but are not Cloa. See Set up a companion on Telegram.
If you want to chat with Cloa from Telegram, you are in the right place.
What you'll see in Telegram
Once linked, talking to Cloa from Telegram feels like any other Telegram DM. You can send plain text, voice notes (Cloa transcribes them before replying), and photos (Cloa describes them and uses them as context for the conversation). Replies arrive formatted for Telegram, with line breaks, lists, and quoted text where it helps readability.
One-time setup
The link only needs to happen once per account.
- Open the Cloa app and go to Menu → Channels → Telegram.
- Tap Link Telegram. The app generates a one-time code for you.
- Tap the call-to-action to open Telegram. The app deep-links you straight into a chat with @CloaBot.
- Paste the one-time code into the @CloaBot DM and send it.
- The bot replies to confirm you're linked, and the channel shows as connected back inside the Cloa app.
After linking
You can message Cloa from Telegram anytime, no fresh login required. The conversation is backed by the same memory as the mobile app, so anything you've discussed in the app is available to Cloa from Telegram, and anything you send from Telegram appears in your chat history in the app.
What works in the channel
- Text chat. Send any message, the way you would with a friend on Telegram.
- Voice notes. Record and send a voice note. Cloa transcribes it and replies in text.
- Photos. Send a photo and Cloa will describe it and use it as context for what you're discussing.
- Commands.
/startintroduces the bot, and/helplists the basics you can do in the chat.
What doesn't work yet
- Voice calls. Live voice conversations with Cloa stay inside the Cloa mobile app for now.
- Some app-only actions. A handful of features that depend on the in-app interface, such as opening rich settings screens, are only available from the app itself.
Managing the link
To check or remove the link, open the Cloa app and go to Menu → Channels → Telegram. Tap the entry to view the binding details. Tap Disconnect to revoke the connection. After disconnecting, messages sent to @CloaBot will no longer reach your account until you link again.
Privacy
Cloa only sees what you send it directly in the @CloaBot chat. It does not see your other Telegram conversations, your contacts, or any chat you are not personally including it in. If you want Cloa to be able to read and act on your wider Telegram, that is a separate, opt-in feature called Telegram Personal, covered on its own page.
